Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Violin Strings

Evah Pirazzi strings produce a full and extremely powerful tone. They have a quick response and an exceptionally wide dynamic range. They are known for power and brilliance.

Evah Pirazzi has been a standard among professional soloists for many years. For sheer brilliance and power, they are the best strings on the market. They work particularly well on fiddles that happen to be somewhat dark; on bright instruments, they can be overpowering. They are quite high in tension, with a very fast, easy response. The overall tone quality is excellent.

Set Includes . . .

  • Gold-Plated Carbon Steel E (Ball)
  • Synthetic/Aluminum-Wound A
  • Synthetic/Silver-Wound D
  • Synthetic/Silver-Wound G

Gold-Plated vs. Silvery Steel

The gold-plated E produces a slightly warmer, richer tone than the silvery steel. We recommend it for instruments that need a little extra tone color in the upper register. However, on instruments that are already rich in overtones, the gold E will be more prone to whistling.
