Environmental Policy
At J.S. Fisher Violins, we believe that as a business, and as individuals, we have a responsibility to give back to our environment more than we consume. To that end, we have committed to making every reasonable effort to reduce waste, to conserve energy, to reuse and recycle, and to minimize carbon emissions and other pollutants. We have partnered with Carbonfund.org Foundation to offset the carbon footprint of each and every package that we ship.
The corrugating medium of our boxes is made of 100% recycled materials. The liners are 20%-30% recycled content, according to the manufacturer. And, our boxes are locally sourced and 100% recyclable. All of our fill material (i.e. packing peanuts, kraft paper, bubble wrap) is re-used from shipments that we receive.
We support the International Pernambuco Conservation Initiative (IPCI) and its mission of restoring and preserving the Pernambuco species for future generations of bow makers and musicians. A portion of the proceeds from every bow that we sell (pernambuco or composite) is set aside to help with this important work. Please visit ipci-usa.org to learn more about how you can help.
