Great case - plenty of room for accessories.

Great Case

This is a great case. No bells and whistles but the music pocket has a zippered compartment for string envelopes, and several spaces for pencils / pens. Two tiny pockets in the case, enough to hold a rosin in each with a cleaning cloth. I don't use shoulder rests for either instrument but there isn't a place in the case for it where it won't bump into the instruments. The music pocket is big enough that you could put your shoulder rests in there. It isn't as heavy as I anticipated with the two instruments in the case and no music in the pocket. I thought it would be much heavier. Great case for the price!

Nice and reliable quality

I have used Bobelock cases since I was a kid, and they continue to be a great value for the quality and protection. The case is heavy and quite large, so not something I want to lug around for long distances, but I really love having both instruments and accessories all in one place now that I am playing violin and viola equally.

Just what I needed

I found JS Fisher Violin's website very helpful in selecting the right case. I like the pro's and con's comments on each case. I came to realize that there are 3 basic values of a case. Its, weight, price and durability. Trying to get all three is nearly impossible. Meaning, If you want a cheaper price, you either get a heavier case or a less durable. Or I could have gotten a lighter case and also durable, but it would have been more expensive. Anyway, I realized my highest values were durability and affordable price. The case I bought is around 10 pounds which probably falls in the heavier category, but I don't mind! The double case is VERY durable and a GREAT price! Better price here than other sites. I chose the double case because I play for a lot of weddings and use both my violin and viola in a string quartet. Having one heavier case (10 pounds plus instruments inside) sounds a lot better than 2 (9 pound) cases for each instrument!
