Similar to the Bobelock 1051 Corregidor case, this Hill-style wooden case offers close to the same protection at a more modest price. This case offers slightly less head-room above the instrument, has nickel fittings, a slightly lower quality velvet than the 1051, and does not have the rope outline in the lid, the quilted bed, or the satin instrument bag. It does, however, have the same rugged wooden shell and canvas exterior, the same arched top, and weighs 8 oz. less.

Fast delivery, great case! One minor niggle

My order got processed quickly, and the case arrived on the expected date. It is a very nice case, with very good quality materials and workmanship, and the recipient (I purchased it as a gift) liked it very much.
I only had one minor niggle which is that it is very hard to open the cover of the larger compartment on the inside. It closes easily, so it does not appear to be misaligned or (grossly) mis-sized. Will see if it gets better with usage.
Other than that, the case is stellar.

Everyone should do bussiness like J.S.Fisher

Needed a Violin case for my daughter, Knew what I wanted.... The item was "Temporarily out of stock" across the country. (Every one drop ships from the ONE warehouse.) Spoke with a Jim S. Fisher, who advised on possible wait times for the item I wanted, and suggested a substitute item, which he knew from personal use, and the variations available. The suggestion was PERFECT! Item came in, in good condition, and on time. The suggestion was perfect.... OOOOPS I already said that, But it was. I am delighted with the results, as is my daughter for whom this was a Birthday present. Jim "Educated me" rather than "Sold Me", but now that I have been educated, I am SOLD on J.S. Fisher! Everyone should do bussiness like J.S.Fisher.

Has held up well so far

This case has held up well so far! There are plenty of places to stow things (3 storage areas inside, plus a roomy music pocket on the outside, 4 bow holders) The case is sturdy and the fasteners are still in good shape 4 years later. I have gone through 2 other cases in the last few years, and this one has definitely lasted the longest. The humidifier seems to work well also.
