The L'Étoile model has a removable, zippered pocket above the scroll for small accessories. It also has an interior strap by the neck to secure a Kun-style shoulder rest. The base, handle, and dual keyed latches are brushed aluminum, while the lid and handle grip is covered in high quality leather.

• Crush Protection: The shell is one of the strongest available, surpassed only by some plywood cases (which are much heavier).
• Shock Absorbtion: The polyurithane foam layer within the ABS shell (absent in cheap knock-off cases from other makers) is one of the best materials available for absorbing the shock of bumps and falls.
• Thermal Protection: Polyurithane foam is also an excellent thermal insulator and BAM Hightech cases keep out the cold of a winter day quite well.
• Durability: The brushed aluminum exterior of the L'Étoile model case is much less likely to become scratched or dented than the original bam Hightech exteriors. And, the leather on the lid and handle is of high quality and is very durable.
