Black, composite tube with screw cap on each end. Holds up to two bows. It is designed for use with one or two Bam Bow Sleeves (not included), which cushion the bows and prevent them from shifting within the tube. The tube can not be used without a sleeve for each bow. Tube holds one violin, viola, or cello bow comfortably. Tube will hold two bows, but the fit is quite tight.

Yes but No

I liked the idea of this case and yes, the modularity of the bow from the case did give me increased piece of mind as I got on a plane but after a couple of years, the turnkey at the bottom of the tube that locks it into the violin case's holder rings broke. More importantly however, sliding the bow into and out of the sleeve significantly reduced the life of the bow hairs meaning I had to rehair more regularly and often in the middle of a tour without access to a bowing professional, I would be left with a frictionless bow.

Fantastic, quick service and quality product

Bow Tube for Bam Overhead Hightech Violin Case

It fits nicely with the straps that come with the case. However, after purchasing it, I found out that there is another version of the tube with removable carrying straps. This convenient feature is not available for one sold here.
