The S-bows are our lightest and strongest violin bows. Their sound is big, brilliant, powerful and round, but more bright than warm. They are the perfect choice for most soloists and also great for jazz, rock and folk music. The S-bows are a great match for all dark sounding instruments. They are available with round sticks that play more steady and feel very steady and octagonal sticks that play rather agile and lively. For many years the S-series bows are our bestseller and you can find them in all the great orchestras around the world.

In-Home Bow Trial - FANTASTIC!!!

From start to finish, my experience with J.S Fisher Violins was amazing. Jim answered my questions and provided valuable input along the way. Setting up the in-home bow trial was easy and the bows arrived at my door very quickly. I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to be able to try out multiple bows at home, and on my own schedule. This experience also allowed me to play with friends, trade bows, and compare notes. This is the best way I can think of to test-drive some bows, especially when considering paying what I would consider to be a substantial amount of money for some horse hair strung up on a stick. Being able to try before buying really made me feel a lot better about making this kind of investment, and who knew that a bow could make so much difference in your playing? It was well worth the money, and I will absolutely continue to do business with J.S. Fisher Violins in the future! Thanks Jim for a great experience!!!
