Manufacturer's Description

Zyex synthetic core strings produce an extremely warm, rich sound. Zyex strings are made from a new generation of synthetic material, creating strings that are incredibly stable under drastic climatic conditions. Within a matter of hours, Zyex settles in on the instrument with a sound that is warmer than most other synthetic core strings. Zyex is also an excellent choice for use on bright sounding instruments.

4 of 5 Really good strings September 2, 2019
Reviewer: B. Ski from Colorado Springs, CO United States
I record a lot of close mic'd stuff, and these string deliver that nice, flat, almost horn-like tone for me. Really brilliant strings, like EPs mic'd close don't seem to do as well. I'd describe them as close to Dominants, but the don't have all the bow hair hiss that Dominants can have. The silver d is warmer, the aluminum d is brighter. For my fiddle, I should have gotten the aluminum d to blend a little better with the a. The e is fine, but nothing special. The g is outstanding. I find myself playing more lower register lines because I like it so much.
