Purchasing a rather expensive violin bow online might seem risky, but no such worries with JS Fisher. Jim answered all my questions quickly and completely. The bow was well-packed and promptly shipped. It is a wonderful instrument, meeting all my expectations. Both the Carrera bow and purchasing from JS Fisher are highly recommended.

I really appreciated the personal attention I received from J.S. Fisher Violins. I had researched purchasing a high-end carbon bow and obtained a Marquise Coda Bow an Arcus M5 and a JonPaul Carerra. James Fisher had to order the JonPaul from the dealer, but as soon as it arrived he shipped all three to me for a week's trial. I found the Arcus at 51.6 grams too light for me. I spent the entire week comparing the Coda Bow and JonPaul. The Coda was a little heavier at 62.3 grams compared to the JonPaul at 58.5 grams. I play Bluegrass in jams with other musicians, sometimes outside, so wanted a more sturdy bow than my pernambuco. The Coda played slightly louder, but the JonPaul was more distinct and subtle. I picked the JonPaul. It plays better than my pernambuco.  The other bonus is that it is beautifully crafted and was the best looking of the three bows.  I couldn't happier with my purchase and in dealing with J.S. Fisher.
