Arcus Müsing Series Violin Bows

Manufacturer's Description

With a weight of about 54 grams and a significantly improved elasticity, our violin bows are faster, stronger and more comfortable to play than traditional bows. Their sound is nicely balanced with strong fundamentals and a wide range of overtones.

Arcus Quality Designation

The Arcus Müsing series has a slightly different quality designation than the other Arcus lines. The Müsing bows are available in quality levels 2-5, with 5 being the highest quality stick. A Müsing level 5 is comparable, in terms of performance and tone, to an S/M/P level 6. (That's not a typo - you're getting a considerable boost in performance at a lower price!) The Müsing 4 would compare to an S/M/P level 5, etc.

Arcus S Series Violin Bows

Arcus S Series Violin Bows are lightweight (47 grams) and stiff. They are quick, agile, brilliant and powerful - ideal for soloists. This is the most popular Arcus line.

Arcus M Series Violin Bows

Arcus M Series Violin Bows are slightly heavier at 51 grams (though still exceptionally lightweight) and more flexible than the S series bows. They offer a warmer tone. We recommend them for orchestral and studio work, and for those who seek warmth, rather than brilliance and projection.

Arcus P Series Violin Bows

Arcus P Series Violin Bows offer the strength (stiffness) of the S line with a slightly heavier (53 grams) stick.

Arcus Müsing Series Violin Bows

Arcus Müsing Series Violin Bows provide outstanding performance at a budget price. Approx. 54 grams.
