Arcus Carbon Fiber Bows

Light-Weight Carbon Fiber Bows for Professionals - Lightweight, Powerful, and Lightning-Fast

Arcus bows have to be played to be believed. Extraordinarily lightweight, these bows have an agility and speed simply not possible with traditional bows. They produce a beautiful, brilliant, complex tone. But, the real draw is how they feel in the hand and how they touch the strings. Particularly with the upper level Arcus bows, the performance is clear, clean, smooth, and effortless. They also have the advantage of allowing the player to practice or perform for hours with little hand and arm fatigue (since the hand has much less weight to hold). A must-try bow for all professionals.

Arcus S Series Cello Bows

Arcus S Series Cello Bows are both strong and light. They are quick, agile, brilliant and powerful. The S series cello bows are prized for their effortless play and beautiful, brilliant tone color. Recommended for large scale instruments with a dark sound.

Arcus M Series Cello Bows

Arcus M Series Cello Bows are slightly heavier and more flexible than the S line, and draw a softer, warmer tone. Recommended for smaller instruments with a brighter sound.

Arcus Quality Designation (4-9)

Arcus bows are rated for quality and designated with a number from 4 to 9 (Level 3 Bows Discontinued in 2017). The higher the number, the better the quality of the stick. Levels 5 and 6 are our best selling bows and really show what the Arcus bows have to offer. Levels 7 and 8 have a cleaner attack, with exceptional clarity and a richer, more organic tone. Level 9 bows are rare, and are not always available for trial. Arcus reserves the level 9 designation for bows that they consider to be perfect.

Arcus Classic Cello Bows

Arcus bows are continually evolving. The original Classic lines (Cadenza, Concerto, Sinfonia, Allegro, Veloce, Vega), manufactured in Arcus's original facility in Austria, may still be ordered by special request, though they are no longer in production. Classic Arcus bows are limited to a 10-year manufacturer warranty.
