great price but shipping not so great

The price for strings was great. Shipping was reasonable for arrival time. Only issue is that the strings were shipped in a 6X6 box with foam packaging! Not only a waste of supplies, but environmentally not the best. A simple envelope or flat pack would have been sufficient. The box and packing was overkill. Hopefully you will look into this.

Note from J.S. Fisher Violins: Thanks for your feedback, James. I agree, shipping in such a large box was wasteful. In this case, we asked our supplier to ship the order directly to you, so we did not package it ourselves. I'll address it with them. I do know that this supplier (like us) does not purchase fill material (i.e. foam packaging), but re-uses fill material from their incoming shipments. This not only makes good business sense, but also helps reduce waste and environmentally unfriendly production of foam peanuts, etc. But, the size of the box is another matter, which I'll look into. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
