This case holds a full sized violin, viola, or cello bow within a sturdy wooden shell. The clasps are strong and designed to prevent accidental opening, even when dropped. The exterior is a tough, long lasting, black, pebble-grain vinyl and the interior is plush blue. Unlike cases that hold multiple bows, this single bow case does not allow the bow to shift or slide within the case; a particularly desirable feature if you happen to have a bow with a fragile tip.

  • Wooden Shell
  • Plush Lining
  • Lid prevents bow from sliding within case.
  • Exterior Dimensions: 30.75" x 2.375" x 1.25"

Other interior colors available by special order. Please call to inquire.

Please note: this case drop-ships directly from the manufacturer. We therefore do not have up-to-the-minute stock information. In the event that your selected color is not available for immediate shipment, we'll contact you within one business day and allow you to cancel, backorder, or select a different color.   Please note that payment is authorized at time of order, which can result in a hold to your payment account. Nice but...

It is very stiff to open, and even after working it numerous times it only stays open for a short time. It seems to NOT be using regular hinges but rather the vinyl covering or some other material that prevents it from being laid flat when open. Other than that the case is excellent, but this was a disappointment. If it relaxes some with use, does that mean that the hinge will eventually break (if it is bending plastic under the vinyl)?
