Arcus bows are light-weight, meticulously crafted, and lightning-fast. Built for professionals, Arcus bows offer a speed and quality of response that is simply not possible with traditional pernambuco bows.
The P8 offers a superb response and a balanced tone. The P Series combines the weight of the C Series with the strength of the S - i.e. they are relatively heavy (53 grams), but stiff. They do not offer the brilliance or agility of the S Series bows, nor do they possess the warmth of the C Series Bows. They have a strong, balanced tone.
Travel Internationally with Your Arcus Bow
The ~P8~ is the ultimate bow for all the great romantic violin concerts. Its strong stick and somewhat higher weight makes it ideally suitable for Brahms, Tchaikovsky etc. Its sound is brilliant and full bodied and fits perfectly to nearly all instruments. The outfit in solid gold reflects the unique sound qualities of its stick.
Arcus bows contain no ivory, tortoiseshell, lizard skin, or other controlled species. You may travel internationally with your Arcus bow with no worries or hassles.
Musicians wishing to travel internationally with bows containing ivory must now obtain a CITES Passport before travel. The ivory must have been legally harvested prior to Feb. 26, 1976, and the bow must have been purchased prior to Feb. 25, 2014. Learn more about traveling with your instrument and bow.
